The Best Dungeon Leveling Group Compositions For The Burning Crusade Anniversary

One of the most popular ways to experience the leveling journey from 60 to 70 in The Burning Crusade is through grinding dungeons to earn the reputation needed later on for access to heroic keys, raid attunements, and gear.

Below, we'll cover some dungeon cleaving comps you can use as you finalize your plans with friends and guildies to hit the ground running as soon as the Dark Portal opens!

Melee Cleave

With a melee cleave group, the tank can be somewhat interchangeable in that the group will be in melee range of mobs, so there's not a lot of worry for mobs to scatter and become difficult to tank. That said, we'd recommend Paladin and Druid over Warrior.

Physical Damage Dungeon Leveling Route

Paladins have excellent AoE threat and bring various Blessings to increase player performance, and Feral Bear Druids, while they may not have the AoE threat a Paladin possesses, there's still some along with Leader of the Pack. Here are some examples of what this type of group composition could look like:

As for damage dealers, you really can't go wrong with any variation of a Combat Rogue, Fury Warrior, Retribution Paladin, or Enhancement Shaman. Having a Hunter with Trueshot Aura would also help provide additional damage output. Regardless of the comp, one non-negotiable aspect is a shaman of some kind so that the melee in the group have access to Windfury Totem.

Spell Cleave

Moving over to more caster-focused comps, like an Enhancement Shaman with melee cleave, a Protection Paladin is a must-have.

Spell Cleave Dungeon Leveling Route

They deal the best AoE threat, and that will complement the AoE from casters wonderfully, especially with the first group comp below that features 3 Mages. With a Paladin tank in mind, here are some comps that fit the "Spell Cleave" meta:

As far as Healers go, Priests are strong with their buffs, such as Power Word: Fortitude and Divine Spirit, but any could realistically work. Ultimately, though, you'll want to have someone in the group with an actual Resurrection spell. Finally, for damage dealers, there's a lot of strong comps, including Mage, Warlock, Balance Druid, and Elemental Shaman. The Balance Druid would provide Moonkin Form, increasing spell critical strike chance by 5%, whereas the Elemental Shaman has Chain Lightning along with Totem of Wrath, with the latter providing 3% spell crit and spell hit.

With all that being said above, the most important part of a dungeon cleaving group is playing alongside four other like-minded players with similar goals that you enjoy playing with.
