Earlier this week, players noticed that characters who had not completed Midnight: World Tour from the start of the expansion could actually get one addition Spark bringing them up to three for this week. Since this was unfair to players who had already completed the quest, Blizzard is increasing the maximum number of Sparks to 4 next week, so all players will be on even ground again.
This means that crafting a 2-Handed weapon is on the table if players desire to next week and may change your crafting plans.
This is the second time that this has happened, after War Within Season 2 when some players were able to get an extra Spark as well.
To address this, we’re planning to bring the maximum number of Sparks to 4 next week.
That change will go in with the weekly reset on August 18.
2 Sparks Available This Week
There are two sparks available this week:
One Spark of Tides is available from a weekly PvE quest Midnight: Vaults of Atal'Utek or Trailing Xal'atath, but not Turn Back the Surge (due to a bug)
The other Spark comes from Sparks of War: Voidstorm (despite it not being listed) which can be picked up from the Conquest Area in Silvermoon City.
If you want to get a head start on the 4 sparks from next week, you can complete both of these today!
