Guards got some upgrades across the city. Arcane Sentries are now more prominent around the city and are now Level 55 Elites. Kirin Tor Guards will also help players find areas of interest, including the inn, profession trainers, and a transmogrifier!
Dalaran also has profession trainers, and along with them, there are also some class trainers in the city as well, including a Druid and Mage trainer.
The Underbelly now also has battlemasters for players to queue up for all battlegrounds, including the new Darkspear Islands. "Baroness" Llana, who was the Arena Organizer in Wrath of the Lich King, is now the Alterac Valley Battlemaster in Forever.
Alliance players can find a new quest for the Scarlet Monastery Library in Dalaran now, Past Due, offered by Magus Olvek, requiring players to defeat and loot the final boss of the dungeon, Arcanist Doan. Players familiar with World of Warcraft TCG might recognize this new quest giver.
Along with new NPCs and some familiar faces from previous versions of WoW, one major change appears to be the removal of the Dalaran portal from Stormwind City for High Order Skyborne. The portal from Dalaran to Stormwind still exists, but it appears the portal back to Dalaran no longer exists.
Perhaps a portal could reopen later on in the game's development, as Theresa Wolf appears to be trying to conjure up something in the Silver Enclave, where Alliance portals used to be in Wrath of the Lich King.
Now that the beta is drawing to a close, players will have to say goodbye to Dalaran for the moment - but we'll need to wait and see if further changes are made to the city when Forever officially launches on November 4th.
