We've been celebrating the anniversary of the launch of World of Warcraft for just over a week now, but today is the actual birthday; on November 23, 2004, 17 years ago, World of Warcraft was launched in North America, Australia and New Zealand. South Korea had to wait until January 18th, 2005 and Europe didn't get to play until February 1, 2005. The game launched in China on June 7th, 2005 and wouldn't open in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau until November.
