The Two-Handed Enhancement Shaman Dream is Alive on China’s Titan Reforged Server

As a part of the China-exclusive Titan Reforged server, Blizzard has announced some changes coming to Enhancement Shaman. These changes are meant to bring two-handed melee weapons and dual-wielding closer in terms of damage output. Some of these changes include increasing two-handed weapon users' spell hit chance and introducing a new Skill, Lava Strike.

Racial Traits Rebalanced Dynamic World Boss Loot

In the Titan Reforged server "Time", our goal has always been to bring players a wider range of gameplay options and a more flexible class-based gameplay experience.

To allow the Shaman class to better adapt to diverse playstyles and offer more flexibility in gear and talent combinations in the Timebound version, we will be adjusting Enhancement talents on December 4th. This change primarily focuses on talents and skills related to two-handed/dual-wielding weapons, as detailed below:

Shaman Enhancement Talent Update

The original dual-wielding talent has been replaced with the new talent "Dual-Handed Dexterity": This allows you to equip both one-handed and off-hand weapons in your off-hand. Using two-handed melee weapons will provide the following additional bonuses:
Increases your spell hit chance by 6%.

The probability of being triggered by electrostatic shock doubles.

Replace Lava Slam with the new skill Lava Strike: You infuse your two-handed weapon with the energy of lava, instantly dealing 100% weapon damage to the target. If your two-handed weapon has the Flame Tongue effect, this damage is increased by 25%.

The Frenzy effect provides an additional 15% melee haste.

To better match the character's combat movements and overall visual appeal, the animations for the Shaman's Lava Strike and Storm Strike skills when using two-handed weapons have also been adjusted.

Developer's Note:

We increased the hit rating bonus so that Enhancement Shamans using two-handed weapons wouldn't have to compromise too much on gear choices in raids to compensate for hit rating, thus sacrificing other key attributes.

Since two-handed weapons are inherently slower in attack speed, adjustments to Static Shock and Whirlwind can improve the overall strength of skills that rely on normal attack hits (such as Lightning Shield, Energy Ball and Vortex Weapon), allowing two-handed gameplay to maintain a relatively close level of competitiveness with dual-wielding.

Considering that the original visual effects of Lava Lash were more suited to one-handed weapons, we replaced them with Lava Strike and the reworked skill animations for two-handed builds, making the visual presentation and rotation rhythm of two-handed enhancement shamans smoother and more consistent.

These adjustments aim to further expand the shaman's versatility in the Time Rift, allowing players to choose between traditional dual-wielding or experimenting with two-handed weapons. We look forward to seeing everyone unleash elemental power in new ways and explore even more possibilities.

We welcome your feedback on your experience in the Time Server, and we will continue to optimise the classes and gameplay.
