WoW’s Latest Pet Promotion Costs More than the Midnight Expansion

Blizzard released a new Gear Store Promotion this morning - Spend $75 in World of Warcraft products on the Blizzard Gear Store to obtain a "free" code for the Scruffyhorn Fel Snooter Battle Pet. This pet currently costs more than both Base and Heroic editions of the Midnight Expansion pre-order! While the Epic Edition of the expansion is still more expensive, this Gear Store promotion clocks in as one of the most expensive ways to obtain a Battle Pet ever - more than two out of three tiers of an Expansion preorder bundle, which comes with pets, mogs, and mounts.

There is currently some confusion on how long this promotion spans out, with the official pet page on the Blizzard Store Page stating two dates - Through September 12th, and through September 22nd.
