Was the Seasonal Affix too powerful and the power of the Anima Powers needed to be reigned in? Perhaps the benefit from killing the lieutenants was too powerful, that Blizzard wants to try to balance doing the final boss with a couple auras active.

Patch 9.1 Hotfixes for the Tormented Mythic+ Affix – Reworked and Retuned Anima Powers
More hotfixes have been pushed to the Patch 9.1 PTR which rework and retune many of the Mythic+ Anima Powers coming with the Season 2 affix, Tormented. Many Anima powers in the Seasonal affix have now been nerfed.
