How to Obtain Level 70 Epic Weapons Before the Dark Portal Even Opens – The Burning Crusade Anniversary

With The Burning Crusade pre-patch, players have been boosting characters, leveling alts, and grinding out PvP Honor gear. Even though the Dark Portal isn't set to open until February 5th, players have found a way to obtain level 70 Epic weapons now!

Some players have mysteriously found weapons, such as Spinesever and The Night Blade, on their server's Auction House, but how are these level 70 items available if The Burning Crusade is not officially released yet?

In his video, Rogue's Diary explains that he was able to Pick Pocket level 61+ elite enemies such as Doomguard Commander in the Tainted Scar to receive Strong Junkbox. Using Lockpicking on these boxes gives players an extremely low chance to obtain level 70 Epic weapons, but can also provide valuable items such as Gems or Super Healing Potion.
