Better Timeline Standalone Addon
Originally serving as a dependency and replacement for BigWigs and Deadly Boss Mods boss warnings and timers, the new addon offers various alternatives to Blizzards default ability timeline directly, giving players another avenue of control over how information is presented to them. Many features are already implemented and several more are planned, though Blizzard's far-reaching addon changes are only allowing so much control at this point - features like changing or disabling specific timers entirely is not currently possible.

Ticks every 5 seconds with a visual highlight.
BigIcon that appears during the last 5 seconds of a bar.
Auditory countdown from 5 for timers.
Text highlight in the center of the screen.
Positioning via edit mode

adding of pulltimer and readycheck to the timeline
adding of smart /pull feature automagically deciding on duration depending if you are in a dungeon or raid
Of course, the popular WeakAura turned addon is just one of many options, as BigWigs and Deadly Boss Mods will also continue to be available in Midnight, offering their own wide suites of comprehensive features. With still no plans to continue updating WeakAuras in Midnight, we can expect many other former auras to also become standalone addons.
