Diablo 4 Players are Missing the Midseason Class Tuning – Latest Patch Only Fixes One Class Bug

With a minor Diablo 4 Season 9 patch coming on August 12, Blizzard delivers little more than a handful of bug fixes instead of the tangible changes players hoped for. This patch is especially disappointing given Blizzard's promises to act more swiftly on player feedback at the start of Season 9, and removing mid-season patches with it. Instead, what Diablo 4 is getting is fewer changes, slow bug fixes, and a lack of attention.

The removal of the midseason patch tuning, while it was clearly communicated ahead of time, was still a controversial move to many players. Having only one pass of tuning per season, essentially leaving builds untouched aside from massive bugs that demand to be fixed, left large swathes of the community feeling that the seasons were being "phoned in." After all, it never feels good to have your favorite build relegated to the Unused shelf due to bugs that were deemed too minor to fix, or having it deal too little damage in comparison to a meta build that dominates the gameplay.

Hopefully, announcements for the Season 10 PTR will begin soon - until then, players will just need to wait and see, and appreciate the few bugfixes that Patch 2.3.3 brings.

Fixed an issue where Horadric Tomes sometimes did not drop when expected.

Fixed an issue with Escalating Nightmares where the Vile Hive dungeon didn't properly escalate if the Agony boss was defeated in a Horadric Strongroom.

Fixed an issue where some quests would randomly stop being tracked.

Fixed an issue where the Druid’s Wolves' attacks did not always get increased damage from Aspect of the Alpha or the Lust for Carnage Paragon Node while the Unique item Storm's Companion was equipped.
