With the announcement of Tier Sets for 9.2, Blizzard has also confirmed in an interview to GamerBraves and Inven that Tier sets will be obtainable in PvP and Mythic+ as well.

In the GamerBraves interview, Lead Game Designer Morgan Day explained how players will obtain the the new tier pieces.

The Progenitor Tier set will drop from the new raid Sepulcher of the First Ones.
