In 2022, Blizzard announced that Heroes of the Storm has officially entered maintenance mode. However, in the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2026, Blizzard announced that a new hero is coming to Heroes of the Storm, and it's Xal'atath!
Xal'atath will be released later this month on September 28th and available on the PTR on September 14th! BlizzCon attendees can test Xal'atath on the show floor all wekend.
