Diablo
During the Game Awards, Blizzard announced the latest expansion coming to Diablo 4 - Lord of Hatred. Set to release on April 28th, Johanna Faries describes this reveal as "a kickstart to this huge 2026 for Blizzard."
In addition to the latest Diablo 4 expansion, Faries also highlights that 2026 will be the Diablo franchise’s 30th anniversary, so could there be even more surprises in store?
World of Warcraft
WoW's latest expansion, Midnight, is set to launch on March 2nd, with the pre-patch event beginning on January 20th.
In addition to the pre-patch event, players will also be able to play the new Devourer Demon Hunter Specialisation and create the latest Class/Race combination with Void Elf Demon Hunters!
Overwatch
While Blizzard Entertainment and the Diablo franchise will be celebrating milestone anniversaries in 2026, the year will also mark the 10th Anniversary of the Overwatch franchise!
BlizzCon
2026 is the first year that BlizzCon will return since 2023. Johanna Faries states that the team is not only excited for the event itself, but for what is to come even before BlizzCon in September. Blizzard's President states that 2024 and 2025 were skipped to "give our employees time to put on the best show possible for our community.”

While Faries states that they have taken notes from what leadership has presented at previous BlizzCon events, she hopes to bring in new ideas and surprises for the fans of Blizzard Entertainment.
