Back in Legion, during the story of Stormheim, players witnessed Sylvanas Windrunner apparently striking some sort of deal with Helya, the cursed Vrykul ruler of Helheim, in order to obtain the Soulcage - a magical lantern with the power to compel the soul of any being. Sylvanas was later witnessed using this Soulcage on Eyir, leader of Odyn's Val'kyr.
