How to Earn Spirit Shards

Spirit Shards can be earned whenever your faction receives the Blessing of Auchindoun buff from securing each of the Spirit Towers in the Bone Wastes.

With this buff active, players can acquire Spirit Shards through defeating Bosses in any of the Auchindoun instances, including Mana-Tombs, Auchenai Crypts, Sethekk Halls, or Shadow Labyrinth. While bosses with the Mana-Tombs and Auchenai Crypts drop one Spirit Shard each, bosses in the Sethekk Halls and Shadow Labyrinth drop two each.

How to Spend Spirit Shards

After acquiring enough Spirit Shards, players can speak with Spirit Sage Zran in Allerian Stronghold (Alliance) or Spirit Sage Gartok in Stonebreaker Hold (Horde) to spend them. Players have several headpieces to choose from at level 66, an Epic ring at level 67, Meta gems, or Mana and Healing portions in exchange for Spirit Shards.

While headpieces cost 18 Spirit Shards each, the Rings cost 50, and each Meta Gem only costs 8.
