Warning! Recrafting Items Has a Chance to Lose Your Crests

Multiple players have now reported that recrafting items can cause you to lose your 80 crests. Be careful of the risks and you may want to avoid recrafting until it's fixed!

Recrafting

Recrafting is an important gearing progression system for this week, as many players had crafted 2-Handed weapons last week at the base Spark item level of 259. This week, Myth crests are available and so many players are looking to upgrade their weapons to the max crafted item level of 285. However, over the last week and up to this morning, there have been numerous reports that recrafting has a chance to just lose your crests, and give you back the original item. This means that you will lose 80 crests for absolutely no gain.

There have been multiple reddit Threads and Twitter Posts talking about it this week, and the issue even seems to have happened last week with multiple forum posts on the topic.

This seems to be a critical bug as losing 80 crests just sucks, and part of the problem is that it's inconsistent. You're taking a gamble when you submit your request for a recraft and it's unclear right now what exactly causes the bug. Crafters who have crafted multiple upgrades in a guild have reported 9 successes, and then 1 bugged one, so it might just be a roll of the dice. Everything looks correct until you get your Weapon returned to your at the same item level.
