What are Void Assaults?
Void Assaults are a new activity in Patch 12.0.5 that rotate weekly in Eversong Woods and Zul'Aman. Void Assaults is the umbrella term for the two activities that work in tandem: Void Strikes and Void Incursions.
What are Void Strikes?
Void Strikes are quick 5-minute objective-driven invasions that occur continuously throughout the open-world in the designated weekly zone. Completing a strike will activate a new one throughout the zone. Strikes award a Field Pouch.

What are Void Incursions?
Void Incursions are larger open-world scenarios that require a significant number of players to complete and culminates with a mini-boss at the end. A Void Incursion will begin once enough Void Strikes have been completed. You can see the progress of an impending Void Incursion on the map. Completing a Void Incursion rewards players with a Field Satchel.

What are Ritual Sites?
Ritual Sites are a completely separate repeatable instanced activity for 1-5 players that draws inspiration from Delves, Mythic+, and Horrific Visions. Each Ritual Site scenario will have objectives, a final boss encounter, and a Ritual Chest full of rewards upon completion of the objectives. Each week the Ritual Site rotates between Zul'Aman's Broken Throne and Eversong Woods' Daggerspine Point opposite the current Void Assault zone.

Players can customize the difficulty and subsequent rewards of the Ritual Site with multiple tiers of difficulty and challenge modifiers with higher tiers requiring more challenges.

Tier 3: Requires 1+ Active Challenge

Tier 4: Requires 2+ Active Challenges

Tier 5: Requires 4+ Active Challenges

Ritual Sites reward Field Accolade, Voidlight Marl Coffer Key Shards, Gold, and Dawncrests based on the number of Spoils collected throughout the run. Spoils are earned based on the slain enemies throughout the Ritual Site.

Completing Ritual Sites unlocks slots in the World row of the Great Vault scaling with difficulty up to 269 ilvl (4/6 Hero) at Tier 5 difficulty. Additionally Ritual Sites have their own Renown track, featuring 8 tiers of rewards and bonuses. For full details on Challenges, Renown, and more, check out our Ritual Site Guide.

A Shared Reward System
What's similar for the two types of content is the shared reward system with Field Accolades acting as the primary currency for purchases. You can earn Field Accolades from both Void Assaults and Ritual Sites, though you'll typically be rewarded with more from Ritual Sites at the cost of higher difficulty.

You can farm Heroic and Champion Gear, Tier 2 Void Recolor transmogs, mounts, pets, and decor at various vendors for Field Accolades.

Tier 2 Recolors can be purchased for 0 Voidlight Marl and 5 Field Accolade each but are random draws by equipment slot with no repeats. If you're looking for gear upgrades, then you can purchase Cache of Void-Touched Armaments or Cache of Void-Touched Armaments for a random piece of Heroic or Champion gear. However, these can be fairly pricey at 500 and 75 Field Accolade respectively.
