Blizzard has shared a Blue Post explaining how the most recent hotfix to Illidan Stormrage will impact Gnomish Battle Chicken, and by extension Battle Squawk. Essentially, the Enrage timer was fixed in Patch 2.1 and Blizzard is correcting an error on Burning Crusade Classic, which also affects Battle Squawk.
