Track Prey Hunt Progress with the Preydator Addon

Newly added in Midnight, the Prey system has been well received, though one complaint is the is the lack of transparency within the UI, making it difficult to know exactly how much progress is being made toward finishing the hunt. Preydator is a new addon by RagingAltoholic, which addresses this issue by adding distinct progress bar tracking each stage of the hunt, new audio cues, and more!

Track the hunt. Hear the danger. Own your layout.

Preydator is a retail World of Warcraft addon built specifically for Prey Hunts. It gives you clear stage tracking, cinematic Predator-style audio cues, and a fully customizable progress bar that works with modern Edit Mode workflows.

While progress bar tracking is the main draw, since Blizzard does not expose true percentage completion for Prey Hunts, Preydator doesn't just make hunt mechanics more transparent, it also adds new flavor through the use of custom audio cues and stage transitions inspired by the movie Predator. Everything within the addon is customizable though, so if you don't like the new stage names or audio alerts... you can easily change or remove them entirely.

The addon currently features a wide range of customization, most of which can be adjusted through the in-game settings:

Tabbed settings UI: General, Display, Text, Audio, Advanced

Edit Mode quick-settings window with click-to-open behavior

Label system with prefix/suffix modes (centered, left/right, separate, none)

Percent display modes and tick layering controls

Tick color, border color, and linked border-to-fill behavior

Optional spark line at the fill edge (toggleable)

Adjustable bar width, height, scale, and font size

Stage 1-4 sound selection plus Ambush sound selection

Built-in test buttons for stage sounds and ambush alerts

Custom sound file management directly in settings

Optional hide of default prey icon with stage 4 map fallback behavior

Debug and diagnostics tools available in UI and slash commands
