One of the main abilities that Mother Shahraz casts is Fatal Attraction, which teleports three raid members to a random spot in the room. When that happens, these players will need to run away from each other; otherwise, a large amount of shadow damage will be dealt to each character.

As for resistances, the magic number is 244. This will guarantee a partial resist. So, with Prayer of Shadow Protection from a Priest granting 70, the amount needed from gear, consumables, gems, enchants, and food is 174.
Engineers
For Engineers, you may be able to get away with skirting around the 174 shadow resistance threshold. Why? Well, you can use Rocket Boots Xtreme Lite and Rocket Boots Xtreme to quickly run away from the area where Fatal Attraction teleports you.

However, there is something else we’d recommend to help make this even more comfortable: equip a Pendant of Shadow's End and macro it into your Rocket Boots. Pendant of Shadow’s End absorbs shadow damage and also has 30 shadow resistance on the item itself. You can also bring along a Nightmare Seed to ensure even more safety.

As a bonus, Engineers could also prepare a Nigh Invulnerability Belt in the event you are afflicted with Fatal Attraction multiple times. This item protects you with a shield and stops 4,000 damage over 8 seconds.
