The Tower is Not Available at Launch for Diablo 4 Season 11

In the Diablo 4 Developer Update, Blizzard has announced that The Tower will not be available at the start of Season 11 and will be added in 2026. After receiving feedback from the PTR, Blizzard decided to delay the release of the tower to make further updates to ensure competitive integrity in the system.

Fishing for Layouts
Fishing for good layouts was a standard gameplay loop for Greater Rift and Leaderboard pushing in Diablo 3, and Blizzard is making sure to avoid Fishing with The Tower.

It was noted in the livestream that while The Tower testing on PTR was considered a great success, the developers have found more issues with the gamemode and map layouts that would lead to fishing and other "cheese" strategies to get an advantage.

The Tower as a Beta Feature
All of this shows what Blizzard is calling a "Beta" feature coming with a Season. The Tower has repeatedly been described as "in beta" rather than being released with Season 11, but most players understood it to be released and improved upon in future Seasons. With the system not even being accessible at the start of Season 11, this sets a concerning precedent; Content being added in the middle of a Season.
