The Light Initially Damages Forsaken Paladins in WoW: Forever

With today's beta build in WoW: Forever raising the level cap to 30, many players will be continuing to level their existing characters - but others might be itching to try something new. A neat interaction that many players may have missed if they rolled a particular race and class combination immediately when beta launched has since been fixed, and anyone now creating a Forsaken Paladin will have an interesting consequence while going through their introductory quests. When learning to use the power of the Light, casting Holy Light for the first time damages you as an Undead Paladin in WoW: Forever.

New Race-Class Combinations

Forsaken Paladins are a brand new race-class combination in WoW: Forever and have long been awaited to join World of Warcraft. When playing a Forsaken Paladin, one of the first class quests is Rediscovering the Light, which teaches you Holy Light.

During this quest, you're tasked with healing 5 Injured Deathguards with Holy Light. The quest explains that using the light to heal yourself or others may cause considerable pain, and every time you cast the spell, you take some damage. It's not enough to kill you (unless you're already at the brink of death), but it's enough to add flavor.

When the beta was released, players weren't taking damage during this quest. Josh Greenfield (aka Aggrend) commented on this, explaining that the quest was always intended to hurt players, and now that the mentioned bug fix was implemented, the original vision can be experienced.

This is some awesome flavor in a quest and hits the fantasy of the newest race-class combo coming to World of Warcraft, so if you didn't experience it before, now's the time to roll a Paladin with the level cap increase!
