Rogue Pre-Raid BiS for TBC Phase 1
Best Quest Upgrades for Rogue
Battle Seeker Chestguard
Reward from Waste Not, Want Not/I Work... For the Horde!
For both the Horde and Alliance versions of this quest, you'll be gathering pieces of wood and metal scattered about on the ground. These are looted from objects on the ground and not from killing enemies. You'll find them among the orcs in the middle of the zone, up and down the path between Hellfire Citadel and the Dark Portal.
Flayer-Hide Leggings
Reward from Disrupt Their Reinforcements/Disrupt Their Reinforcements
These quests are part of a chain that begins with each faction's basic "entry into Outland" quest chain that you'll be able to start as soon as you walk through the Dark Portal. At this stage of the quest, you are tasked with disabling two legion teleporters. To do this, you will kill demons around the teleporter to gather four Demonic Rune Stone and then use To'arch's Primers near the portal to disable it.
Bladefist's Breadth
Reward from Overlord/Cruel's Intentions
Overlord and Cruel's Intentions both have you venture out into the Pools of Aggonar in northern Hellfire Peninsula to kill Arazzius the Cruel. This elite demon is surrounded by many other enemies, and you will likely need to bring a friend or two to help out. Luckily, this quest has powerful rewards for many different classes, so it should not be difficult to find another player interested in helping.
Best Dungeon Upgrades for Rogue
Dungeons offer some very powerful items for your character, but remember to get a few quest upgrades first. Getting most quest upgrades can be done solo, and it makes your character stronger and thus more useful to a dungeon group. Being useful and effective in your role will leave a good impression with the other players - perhaps you will make some friends, and they will invite you back for more dungeons in the future.
Shadowrend Longblade
Drops from Watchkeeper Gargolmar in Hellfire Ramparts
Upgrading your main hand weapon is the most important gear slot that you can upgrade as a rogue. This is a powerful weapon that will be a very noticeable increase in power compared to the weapons you started with.
Shifting Sash of Midnight
Drops from Reinforced Fel Iron Chest after defeating Vazruden in Hellfire Ramparts
Shifting Sash of Midnight is a powerful belt with some very good stats for a rogue - agility, attack power, and a few open sockets. You can insert gems made by a player with the Jewelcrafting profession, which offer further stat bonuses depending on which gems you select.
Mantle of the Dusk-Dweller
Drops from Keli'dan the Breaker in The Blood Furnace
Mantle of the Dusk-Dweller is another of many great dungeon drops you can get to upgrade your rogue's armour. Hit rating is another important stat for a rogue that the boosted gear severely lacks. These shoulders are very well itemised for rogues and would be a nice pick up for any rogue starting their Outland adventures.
