Ruby Life Pools Nerfs on Patch 12.1.5 PTR – Mythic+ Dungeon Tuning

Some Mythic+ dungeon tuning has hit the Patch 12.1.5 PTR, which nerfs Ruby Life Pools!

Ruby Life Pools Dungeon

When Patch 12.1.5 was announced, Blizzard announced dungeon tuning would be coming. We now have some on the PTR with most of the current changes targeting Ruby Life Pools, reducing the damage intake of many trash spells. This seems like a small amount of tuning changes for now, and it only targets one dungeon (and it isn't Altar), so there may be more pushed to the PTR in the future. These changes are likely to go in with Patch 12.1.5, which goes live this Tuesday, October 13th.

These tuning changes have been datamined and have not been officially announced and can change at any time.

Ruby Life Pools

One of the biggest changes is making Living Bomb dispellable, as this ability does a lot of damage and has some bad overlaps. This should significantly reduce the chance of someone dying on Destroyer pulls.

Earthbound Guardian's Earthbound's Imprint initial damage reduced by 21.5%, periodic damage reduced by 13.3%

Infused Whelp's Cold Claws applications now have a 5 second ICD.

Blazebound Firestorm's Inferno initial damage reduced by 18.2%, periodic damage reduced by 14.3%

Primalist Cinderweaver and Blazebound Destroyer's Living Bomb is now a Magic Effect and can be dispelled.

Blazebound Firestorm and Defier Draghar health reduced.

Storm Warrior's Thunderous Stomp damage reduced by 18.2%

High Channeler Ryvati's Tempest Stormshield now absorbs 15% of max health (was 20%)

Temple of Sethraliss

Static Anomaly's Spark Step damage reduced by 25%
