Blizzard has acknowledged that their philosophy has changed a bit since that interview, and some quest tracking features will be added to Wrath--although the blue post did not specify a time frame, simply "at some point.

Quest Tracking Features Will Be Present in Wrath Classic
Blizzard has announced they will be adding quest tracking features from Patch 3.3 into Wrath Classic at some point, following discussion and disappointment surrounding a Wrath Classic Interview from April which stated quest-helping features would not be present.
