Not Many Changes: What’s New with Midnight Leatherworking?

Midnight introduces some new changes to both Crafting and Gathering Professions. While players expect Profession updates each time a new expansion launches, Midnight is iterating on the previous Dragonflight and War Within concepts of each profession, adjusting difficulties, adding new mechanics, and providing new types of crafts.

We're taking a look at what's new and different with each Profession - this time, with a look at Leatherworking! If you're looking to learn everything about Leatherworking in the new expansion, you can find extensive information in our Midnight Leatherworking Guide, as well as overall Profession information in our Profession Overview.

Leatherworking in Midnight Profession Overview in Midnight

What's New with Midnight Leatherworking?

Good news, Leatherworkers - out of all the Crafting Professions, Midnight Leatherworking received virtually no changes in Midnight! Overall, the Leatherworking Profession should feel extremely similar to its post-Dragonflight rework of previous expansions; if you played around with Leatherworking at all in the past four years, you've got a great idea of what you'll be getting into. There are no new mechanics, only a few adjusted Specialization nodes, and no surprises hidden in the recipe list this time around.

The biggest change that Leatherworkers should be aware of is that it will take a bit less effort this time around to completely learn everything that Leatherworking Specializations have to offer. In The War Within, it took a total of 800 Knowledge Points to complete all Leatherworking Specializations; in Midnight, however, players are looking at a total of 770 Knowledge Points to completely cap the Profession. It's a nice little bonus that means Leatherworkers will be maxed out a few weeks early.
