Haranir Will Not Be Available During Midnight Early Access

One of the biggest new features coming in the Midnight expansion is the introduction of the Haranir, however players may have to wait just a little bit longer to play them, as developer comments suggest that the new allied race will not be available during Early Access.

Although the ancient guardians of the rootways were highlighted in Blizzard's recent Midnight Early Access and Worldwide Launch Schedule, the Midnight Developer Q&A last October revealed that Haranir would not be available during Early Access, with the intent to avoid giving early access players notable advantages.

Though it is completely possible that the developer intent has changed over the past six months, it has been pointed out that Earthen weren't available during Early Access for The War Within either, suggesting that this will remain the case.

Unlike their dwarven counterparts, unlocking the Haranir requires completing only the main Harandar campaign quests, which will award the Allied Race: Haranir achievement and an Ivory Grimlynx usable by all characters.

Once they do become available, new Haranir characters feature an astounding amount of customization, and can be played as a Druid, Hunter, Mage, Monk, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, or Warrior pledged to either the Alliance or Horde factions.

They even have unique totems and Druid forms!
