In a video with Ion Hazzikostas, Blizzard has announced the upcoming deep dive into Midnight, as well as the impending launch of alpha testing. In addition to the reveal itself, there's a particular item teased in the background of Ion's cozy lair.
On the shelf behind Ion, there are two rows of Collector's Edition boxes for previous expansions -- and an additional purple-themed one set just beside the box for The War Within. Blizzard has not announced it officially yet, but this is almost certainly the Collector's Edition box for Midnight, in a fitting void purple.
We can likely expect an official announcement in the coming months; what character statues or goodies do you want to see in this collector's box?
The room also features a number of other fun easter eggs scattered about, including a pair of duck slippers from Dragonflight, the golden Ragnaros statue from the 15th Anniversary Collector's Edition, a mug with the "Home Sweet Home" motto for Player Housing, and the iconic garrison bird Pepe.
There's also a small portion of a Lor'themar portrait in the background, featuring art from the longtime iconic Blizzard artist Bayard Wu. This is certainly a portrait I'd hang in my house in Midnight.
