The last boss of Skyreach has a variable DPS check on the Solar Zealot add, as players are supposed to defeat the add before it drops a player off the edge. However, Kesslive posted about a new strategy that will lower the DPS check on the last boss of Skyreach. While some classes already don't need the add to die, this makes it so everyone has a "Get Out of Free Jail Card".
Players can activate the Animated Bench toy while being carried by the Solar Zealot, and it will instantly drop them back to the ground.
The Animated Bench Toy has a 5 minute cooldown and is obtained from Decor Duels. The cooldown means that you can't use it more than once an encounter, but each player can use it when it's strategically useful for themselves or the group.
Whether or not this gets fixed, this isn't the first time that Toys have been used in Mythic+ dungeons to make things easier, and examples include Parasols (e.g. Stylish Black Parasol) to cross large gaps, a toy that drops combat in Shadowlands, and a toy that keeps you in combat for trinket purposes. This also probably won't be the last. But it's likely that toy will get fixed to not work in combat, or at the very least not work in Mythic+.
Don't forget that this mechanic can also be handled in a similar way by certain classes with teleports or dashes. Certain classes will never need players to target and kill the add, as when they are dropped off the edge, they can use abilities to get back on the platform including Warlocks using Demonic Circle, and Evokers using Hover.
