Hardcore Characters Lost to DDoS Attack On January 4th Have Been Restored

Blizzard has announced that all Hardcore characters on the Classic Hardcore realm, Doomhowl, who died as a result of the DDoS attack on January 4th, have been restored.

Yesterday, the Classic Hardcore realm Doomhowl in North America was impacted by a malicious DDoS attack, resulting in the deaths of some player-characters.

Today, we’ve restored the dead player-characters who were lost during the DDoS timeframe and remained on the Doomhowl realm.

That work is now complete and players who fit the above criteria should be able to log back into their character on the Hardcore realm.

Thank you!

Additionally, Blizzard has restored characters who died on the Defias Pillager server as well.

As of a few minutes ago, characters lost due to DDoS on the Defias Pillager realm have additionally been restored.
