Cosmetic Crafting: What’s New with Midnight Tailoring?

Midnight introduces some new changes to both Crafting and Gathering Professions. While players expect Profession updates each time a new expansion launches, Midnight is iterating on the previous Dragonflight and War Within concepts of each profession, adjusting difficulties, adding new mechanics, and providing new types of crafts.

We're taking a look at what's new and different with each Profession - this time, with a look at Tailoring! If you're looking to learn everything about Tailoring in the new expansion, you can find extensive information in our Midnight Tailoring Guide, as well as overall Profession information in our Profession Overview.

Tailoring in Midnight Profession Overview in Midnight

What's New with Midnight Tailoring?

Fundamentally, Midnight Tailoring hasn't changed much with the new expansion. In Midnight, Tailors are still the only source of naturally dropping cloth, and all of the standard crafts that have come to be expected since the Dragonflight rework are present and accounted for. New to Midnight, however, is a fun new category for Tailors to work with: cosmetic items!

Normally, any gear that Tailors have crafted has been functional for combat. These six capes, however, are purely cosmetic - and this sets a new standard for the profession that we're excited to see explored in further content updates. So far, only cloaks are available, but they should nicely match armor sets easily available in the first season of Midnight. Hopefully, we see more fun cosmetic outfits and ensembles in Tailoring's future!
