Completely Automated Addons for Memory Game No Longer Work on Azta’rec Delve Boss

The Delve Boss Azta'rec has been hotfixed, which has broken completely automated addons that recorded and played back the memory game.

What is the Memory Game?

As previously mentioned, the Azta'rec Memory Game occurs at 90%, 60% and 30% health. The boss will telegraph a safe quadrant multiple times in a row, and then will repeat the same sequence of safe spots without telegraphs, forcing you to remember the safe spot. As the encounter progresses, the number of safe spots will increase in each pattern, and players will need to remember 5, 6, and then 7 safe spots in a row.

Not only do you have to remember the safe spots, but you also have be DPS'ing down the add, dodging waves, interrupting, and dodging a cone.

Completely Automated Addons

There were recently two addons that completely automated the Memory Game: Azta'rec Helper and Snake Says. It would record the safe zones, and then play back the safe zones so you never needed to do anything. These addons seemed to work off of coordinates, which were active in the Venomfall Deeps zone, allowing an addon to track the player's position when the cast finished. This has now been hotfixed.

Coordinates can no longer be tracked by addons in the Venomfall Deeps zone.

This means that addons cannot completely automate the memory game anymore. There are still many ways to make the memory game easier, but all of them should require a form of human input, rather than complete automation at this point.
