Blizzard May Have Just Leaked the Siege of Orgrimmar Release Date – Mists of Pandaria Classic

With the Phase 5 PTR now underway, and Siege of Orgrimmar testing next week, Blizzard is on pace to release the final chapter of Mists of Pandaria Classic well before BlizzCon. While analyzing the data from the PTR, we may have stumbled upon the release date for Mists of Pandaria Classic Phase 5 and Siege of Orgrimmar, and it all relates to the upcoming Joyous Journeys buff.

Mists of Pandaria Phase 5 Overview

In their announcement of the upcoming experience buff, Blizzard stated that Joyous Journeys would be available starting on April 21st, and would end with the release of the next content update, which will be Phase 5 - Siege of Orgrimmar.

Duration: April 21 until the next content update for Mists of Pandaria Classic arrives.

With this in mind, we recently discovered a new World Event on the Mists of Pandaria Classic PTR that also begins on April 21st.

As you can see, this World Event begins on April 21st and ends on June 2nd. Could this be the Joyous Journeys buff, and if so, does that mean that Siege of Orgrimmar is planned to release on its end date of June 2nd?

While the data does seem to suggest this, it would mean that Phase 4 would last just over 2 months. Since Escalation did not include a raid Tier, and is considered a micro-patch, the shortened content Phase could make sense. If Siege of Orgrimmar releases on June 2nd, then players would be in that content Phase for over 3 months before BlizzCon.

Do you think Siege of Orgrimmar could release as early as June 2nd? Do you think Blizzard will announce Warlords of Draenor Classic, or a different future for Classic progression servers at BlizzCon this year? Let us know in the comments below!
