Are The New Engineering Goggles BiS For Your Class? – The Burning Crusade Anniversary

With the release of The Burning Crusade Anniversary Phase 2, players now have access to a plethora of new Engineering Goggle schematics. But are any of these Goggles best for your specialization?

TBC Phase 2 Best-in-Slot Guides

Cloth

The Destruction Holo-gogs are extremely good for all cloth-wearing DPS classes. While these googles are absolute BiS for Fire Mage, Shadow Priest, and every Warlock spec, they're also good for Arcane and Frost Mages who are still waiting on their Cowl of Tirisfal.

While the Powerheal 4000 Lens is great for Priest Healing, they will ultimately want to swap these out for their BiS Tier piece, Cowl of the Avatar, once it drops.

Leather

While the Tier Head, Nordrassil Headpiece, is the best option for Balance Druids, Magnified Moon Specs is a great piece to hold you over until it drops.

Similarly, the Tier Head for Restoration Druids, Nordrassil Headguard, is considered BiS, but Wonderheal XT40 Shades is a viable alternative.

Again, while the Tier piece, Deathmantle Helm, is absolute BiS for Rogue, the Deathblow X11 Goggles are the next-best option, if you're having a difficult time with drops.

What About Feral Druids?

While Deathblow X11 Goggles is a viable alternative, both Feral DPS and Tank Druids should opt for the Wolfshead Helm instead.

Mail

While Gadgetstorm Goggles is a viable alternative, especially if you've been very unlucky with drops, both Tier 4 and Tier 5 helms are better for Elemental Shaman.

Similarly, the Tier 5 helm, Cataclysm Helm, is the best option for Enhancement Shaman, however, Surestrike Goggles v2.0 can hold you over until those drop.

Both the Living Replicator Specs and Tier piece, Cataclysm Headguard, are considered best-in-slot options for Restoration Shamans.

What About Hunters?

While Surestrike Goggles v2.0 isn't a bad option, Hunters will ultimately want to farm the Beast Lord Helm helm, as this is considered Best-in-Slot all the way until Phase 5.

Plate

Again, the Tier 5 helm, Crystalforge Greathelm, is the best option for Holy Paladins; however, Justicebringer 2000 Specs is a great option while waiting for the drop.

While a viable high-Stamina option for Protection Paladins, the Tankatronic Goggles is outweighed by the overall best option, Crystalforge Faceguard. Similarly, for Protection Warriors, these goggles are the Best Mitigation option, but their Tier 5 helm, Destroyer Greathelm, is considered the best overall option.

Finally, the Furious Gizmatic Goggles are considered best-in-slot for both Retribution Paladins and Arms Warriors. However, Fury Warriors benefit slightly more from the Tier helm, Destroyer Battle-Helm.
