Activision Blizzard Issues Update and Clarification Regarding Diversity Space Tool

Following community backlash regarding the Diversity Space Tool revealed earlier today, Activision Blizzard has issued a follow up statement and edited their blog post to clarify that the tool is not currently being used in active game development and has only been tested internally.

Somewhat predictably, the original post was met by a great deal of derision and accusation from a public audience already skeptical due to Activision Blizzard's recent line of controversies.

Dear Greatfather Winter:

I’ve been very, very good this year. I killed Anub’Arak… twice. I only punted gnomes with pink hair. And I only ninja-looted once, but it was an accident no matter what that warlock tells you. I’m looking forward to getting my Winter Veil gift, and think Smokywood Pastures is the greatest company ever( even if I can’t wear my belt anymore). Please bring me something nice this year. I’ve been ever-so-good (relatively speaking) and deserve something worthy a hero of my stature.

It’s that time of year again; the snowballs are flying and Smokywood Pastures has unpacked their goodies for everyone to enjoy (for a small fee, of course). It’s Winter Veil once more, and Greatfather Winter with his reindeer Metzen by his side will be delivering gifts to all the good little orcs and humans of the world.
