True to their word, the Warcraft III: Reforged Team has released a development update ahead of the upcoming patch 1.33.0. Now in public testing, this update introduces long awaited features such as Ranked Play, Player Profiles, Leaderboards, and some balance adjustments to campaign play - though you can check out the full notes quoted below.
Answering a question on Twitter, Blizzard Entertainment President Mike Ybarra stated that there would be news from the Warcraft III: Reforged team sometime in June, the first hints of an update in over a year.
Exactly what that news may be remains a mystery though.
When Blizzard announced that they would be reforging Warcraft III, there was excitement among fans who had played back in the day and among new fans who looked forward to seeing a classic brought up to date. The game was released at the beginning of 2020, but to the disappointment of many, the promised new features fell short and Warcraft III: Reforged was a bit of a let-down to those who had looked forward to it. The whole project feels very neglected.
