Phase 1: Fury of the Serpent Mother
Throughout this boss fight, players must handle Ula'tek's eggs before they hatch into dangerous Blightscale Vipers. Players carry Ula'tek's eggs, making sure not to get hit by any venom-based abilities and break the eggs at the right time, which spawns weaker adds to defeat.
The main threat of this phase is Ula'tek's Caustic Waves, where she sweeps one of her wings, sending venom waves across the arena before sweeping the other wing as well. Don't get hit!
Before Phase 2, Ula'tek shows her true strength with Rage of the Shackled, a 20-second cast of heavy raid-wide damage while causing Falling Debris to fall from the ceiling that players must dodge. During this time, Ula'tek's Venomous Heart is exposed and takes double damage from all sources. Pop cooldowns and burst as much damage as possible!
Phase 2: Children of the Doomscale
In Phase 2, the raid splits into two groups and heads towards opposite sides of the arena to handle, you guessed it, even more eggs!
On each side is a Doomscale Cauldron that helps us deal with the eggs, but things aren't so simple. The eggs are guarded by a Doomscale Warden, and players cannot pick up any eggs until the Warden is defeated. This phase is all about defeating the Warden and the resulting adds from the eggs before heading into Phase 3.
Phase 3: Ula'tek's Ascension
In the last phase, Ula'tek splits the arena into four sections while the venom surrounding the arena begins to swirl.
The main mechanic of this phase is Serpent's Bite, which marks certain players with a 15-second debuff. This debuff is removed by having other players stand in the red circle to purge the venom from the poisoned player. If the debuff isn't removed by the 15 seconds, the poisoned player is turned into a Calcified Corpse.
Besides debuffs, there will be the occasional group of eggs to defeat and waves to dodge. As the phase progresses, Ula'tek removes sections of the arena with Circling Prey. Be sure to move to another platform before her tail slams you!
