New Dungeon Boss - Ahune
During the Midsummer event, players will be able to access an additional boss in the Slave Pens dungeon. Ahune can be summoned in Normal mode by accepting the quest Ahune is Here! from Numa Cloudsister, just inside the dungeon. Before turning in the quest to summon Ahune, make sure to clear the trash in the room to make for an easier encounter. Summoning Ahune on Heroic difficulty will only require players to click the crystal, which will summon him.
If you'd like to learn the strategy for taking down Ahune, be sure to check out this section of Jurdi's video, or read about the strategy in our Guide here.
Normal Loot
On Normal Mode, Ahune has a chance to drop item level 128 Cloaks:
Heroic Loot
Taking on Ahune in Heroic Mode will give players a chance to earn an item level 128 Necklace:
Both Normal and Heroic versions have a chance to drop Frostscythe of Lord Ahune, Scorched Stone, and Formula: Enchant Weapon - Deathfrost.
Gold From Quests
Completing all of the Honoring Flames and Desecrating Flames quests around the world will net players around 500 - 600 gold. These quests can only be completed once, but if you have the time to travel around, these quests could be well worth the effort.
To see the locations and coordinates of every Flame, be sure to check out this section of our Guide. Jurdi also shared a great Weak Aura that can help you track which Flames you still need to visit. In addition to these one-time quests, there are also daily quests that players can complete for gold and additional Burning Blossom.
Burning Blossom Buffs & Consumables
Throwing a Burning Blossom into a Bonfire will grant the player Fire Festival Fury. It should be noted that if you want this buff and a Flask active, you'll need to apply your Flask first, before tossing a Burning Blossom into the Bonfire to receive this buff. Additionally, this buff will replace any Battle Elixir; however, players can run a Guardian Elixir with this buff.
In addition to this new buff, players can also use their Burning Blossoms to purchase new food items. The buffs from these new consumables stack with regular Food Buffs, so you can benefit from both simultaneously.
These food items will only last for 14 days, so make sure to stock up on these limited-time items before they disappear on July 5th!
