We previously discovered that Scaling crest costs were present on the 12.1 PTR again. It's clear now that this was not intended as in today's development notes, Blizzard mentions that this was an issue and the crests have flat costs.
Many players were concerned at how much of an advantage this would give to raid player, especially when combined with the End Game Gearing changes coming in Patch 12.1.
ITEMS
Fixed an issue where upgrading gear had scaling upgrade costs. Gear now has flat costs to upgrade each track like in Midnight Season 1.
