The Warcraft Logs uploader is officially transitioning over to the Archon app on June 29th, with new features such as automatically recording your gameplay and syncing it with logs for review, alongside a Lite version for users who just want to continue uploading their combat logs.

Users will be prompted to switch over to either the full Archon app or Lite standalone uploader by June 29th.

With creator Alex now a part of the Archon/Warcraft Logs engineering team, the Archon app becomes an all-in-one program, providing a rich integration of combat log analytics and video replay features... not only for WoW, but other games as well.

Standalone Uploader Alternative
That's a lot of features, which may not be for everyone. Users who just want to continue using a standalone uploader without all the extra bells and whistles can instead opt to use the Lite version instead. This standalone program works just like the previous Warcraft Logs uploader, except it also provides comprehensive support for Retail, Classic, Fellowship, Final Fantasy, Elder Scrolls, and Star Wars games all in one place.

No ads, no extra features, just the ability to upload combat logs like you did before.

Again, most players probably won't use all of these different game options, but it's a lot easier for the Warcraft Logs team to support one app for everything instead of a dozen different ones individually, similar to how there isn't a separate version of Battle.net for each Blizzard game.
