Weekly World Events in Midnight
Glorious Abundance
Abundance is very straightforward event, focused on obtaining abundant materials through gathering and combat, which players will learn the basics of through a tutorial quest in Zul'Aman. From there, each of the four major Midnight zones has its own Abundance cavern, which players can re-enter and repeat as many times as they wish to practice, complete the weekly Abundant Offerings quest, or progress several related achievements. The Abundance cave in Eversong Woods is in Watha'nan Crypts, south of Suncrown Village and east of Tranquillien.

The Abundance cave in Zul'Aman is in Loaknit Den, north of the Temple of Halazzi.

The Abundance cave in Harandar is in Floaret Grotto, east of the Dreamrift raid entrance.

The Abundance cave in Voidstorm is in the Abundant Voidburrow, north of the Ingress.

Players are given three minutes to harvest materials and offer them to nearby shrines.
Although progress is individual, being a world event also means benefitting from other player's efforts, as material pickups are shared, making it easier to accumulate a large harvest quickly. That's really all there is to the event, though it also has a second form, which requires spending a weekly-limited Shard of Dundun currency to obtain the full range of rewards.
Earning Unalloyed Abundance
Rotating every eight hours, one of the abundance locations will be empowered with an Abundant Harvest, during which time players can offer a Shard of Dundun to empower the cave. Abundant Harvests play exactly like the normal version and in the same space, with the key distinction of awarding Unalloyed Abundance based on completion, which can then be spent on a variety of crafting reagents and cosmetic rewards.

Only eight Shard of Dundun can be obtained per week, from a variety of sources including outdoor activities, crafting orders, or fishing, gathering, or collecting treasures. Players can also only hold eight at a time and will be unable to earn any more while capped, encouraging them to engage with the activity week-to-week to avoid wasting potential shards.
There appears to be a cap of 900 Unalloyed Abundance per run, no matter how many materials are earned.
Abundant Rewards
Unalloyed Abundance earned by completing this Abundant Harvest can then be exchanged with Chel the Chip for a variety of crafting reagents and cosmetic rewards!
