Weapon Illusions on Ranged Weapons
Dating back to Legion, weapon illusions have become a staple piece of transmogrification, allowing players to edit the glow effects on certain weapons.
Throughout the last decade, a certain class of weapons was excluded from using weapon illusions, Ranged weapons. This meant Beast Mastery and Marksmanship Hunters couldn't apply illusions to their weapons, which created large community sentiment over time. With Patch 12.1, ranged weapons can finally use weapon illusions, a welcome change.
TRANSMOGRIFICATION
Ranged weapons (bows, crossbows, and guns) can now use a variety of illusions in transmog.
Players can preview different ranged weapon illusions on the Patch 12.1 PTR. As of now, the illusion options available are quite limited, and more illusions will likely be added leading up to the launch of the patch.
With ranged weapons finally getting illusions, it begs the question of potentially seeing different illusion effects for ammo, bolts, and arrows fired from weapons.
