Valorstones Removed in Midnight
Player power progression is a significant part of the World of Warcraft experience, who doesn't want to be stronger? With Dragonflight, we saw the introduction of Valorstones and Crests, two powerful currencies that allowed players to upgrade end-game gear.
Throughout the last two expansions, Valorstones became problematic, and we're often a stopping point preventing players from further upgrading gear. With the goal being gradual progression, too many small pieces could halt progress and Valorstones was a shining example of this. As part of the Midnight Developer Q&A, Blizzard confirmed that Valorstones are being removed, with the goal being to smooth out gearing progression.
