Hidden Artifact Appearance Changes in Legion Remix
While many of the hidden appearances follow the same process for non-remix characters, the following specs had their acquisition methods changed in Legion Remix:
Unholy Death Knight
Vengeance Demon Hunter
Resto Druid
Beast Mastery Hunter
Frost Mage
Brewmaster Monk
Retribution Paladin
Discipline Priest
Subtlety Rogue
Destruction Warlock
You can check the full guide linked above for the complete list of details on what has changed for each spec, but, in general, the requirements around the world have been either moved to the Order Halls or the Infinite Bazaar, with some that relied on the mission table being removed completely.
Vengeance Demon Hunter, Resto Druid, Frost Mage, Brewmaster Monk, and Destruction Warlock all required interactions with the Order Hall upgrade system, those have all been removed, with the content locked behind those steps available right away.
Subtlety Rogue similarly required interaction with the upgrade system and doing a small RNG step every so often to unlock access to the Troves of the Thunder King scenario, but all of that can be bypassed by purchasing Tome of Otherworldly Venoms at the Infinite Bazaar. Beast Mastery Hunter's Designs of the Grand Architect can be bought at the Infinite Bazaar for 10,000 Bronze instead of costing 8,000 gold.
Retribution Paladin and Discipline Priest have had the biggest improvements with these changes, reducing the time required to unlock their artifact significantly. Horos at the Infinite Bazaar sells the Shard of Darkness item for Rets, allowing them to skip most of the original questline for Corrupted Ashbringer. Meanwhile, Disc Priests no longer need to fly all over the world to collect tomes, having the three tomes located outside the Broken Isles now located next to Pageturner Metros at the Infinite Bazaar.
Unholy Death Knights no longer need to go to Icecrown Citadel, having all the steps to their hidden appearance now completed in Acherus after obtaining the Professor Putricide's Lost Journal from casting Army of the Dead.
Unlocking Artifact Hidden Apperance Color Variants
On top of the base color for the hidden appearances, you can also unlock another three colors. The criteria there are the same for all specs:
Complete 30 dungeons.
Complete 200 world quests.
Defeat 100 enemy players.
For Remix, PvP Artifact Weapon appearances are not available, so the tint reward for defeating 100 enemy players will not be earnable.
Back in Legion, you needed to have your weapon transmogged to the hidden appearance to unlock its extra tints. It is probably good to do the same in Remix to ensure it works properly.
