One of the popular addons with over 1.075m downloads since the start of Midnight, Unhalted Raid Frames received a large update early today, adding party/raid frames, indicators for Ready Checks and Threat, and more requested features.

Unfortunately, this update also caused several unintended problems, breaking core addon functionality, resulting in a deluge of irate comments from its user base on its project page, discord, direct messages, and other social spheres. Returning several hours later, Unhalted announced over Discord that the addon would cease development entirely, in direct response to the hatred and abuse received throughout the day. The author further remind users that addon developers work on projects of passion, and that no one should be subjected to abuse or harassment for creating addons, closing with a final request to be kinder to one another.

Unhalted Unit Frames will NO longer be updated. Today, has been an eye opening experience and honestly, the level of abused / hatred I received today is just not something I need or want to deal with. This is solo-developed, passion project which is free-to-use, at no point, should ANYONE be subjected to this level of abuse or harassment - unhappy with the product or not, think about how you speak to one another & treat people.

For those of you that stood up for me and showed patience, thank you :Love: Unfortunately, for me - this was just the final nail in the coffin.

I would like to reiterate for those that may have forgotten. AddOn Developers do this for FUN, we do not make millions & a lot of us have jobs - they are free to use and therefore, you should expect issues / changes / adjustments and be a bit more patient with the developers behind those addons.

As a general reminder, many passionate people create addons on their own time, and for fun. There are real people behind creating these addons as a personal project, and it's frustrating when something doesn't work, but be patient and respectful; these addon authors likely want their addon to work just as much as you do.

Please be nice to addon authors, especially in an expansion where each major patch has large addon changes.
