The War of Light and Shadow Campaign Finale Now Live

With L'ura vanquished in the March on Quel'Danas, the Darkwell has been extinguished and Silvermoon City is free of cosmic influence, leading to the final step in the raid campaign, as leaders of the elven host determine what to do next in the final chapter of Midnight's endgame raid campaign!

Upon defeating L'ura, the dark energies have been extinguished, leaving Silvermoon devoid of cosmic forces once again.

Reconciliation
What follows is a short tour around Silvermoon City as we check in on our allies. First, Magisters Rommath and Umbric reconcile their differences, giving the Void Elves a permanent embassy witin the city. Next, Vareesa Windrunner and Aethas Sunstrider officially declare peace between the Silver Covenant and Sunreavers to form the Silversun Compact and award the Silversun Compact Regalia.

Both sides are quick to note that they do not forgive or forget past transgressions, but agree to set aside their enmity.

Consecration
Finally, we're off to see Arator in the ruins of Quel'Danas, where each of the elven factions have brought gifts to attempt to cleanse the Darkwell. Fruit of the Arcan'dor, Anasterian's Crown, a shard of the void, and water from the moonwells are all offered to consecrate a new Dawnwell - representing a balance between light and void, and a new beginning for the elves of Azeroth.

For their efforts, players are awarded with the The War of Light and Shadow achievement, as well as the Peridot Dragonhawk mount, and two pieces of decor.

What Comes Next?

In post-quest conversations, we're treated to a few hints at upcoming story beats:

Lady Liadrin and Arator discuss a reassuring voice that the Blood Queen Matriarch heard while praying at the Sunwell and summoning Army of the Light. It is surmised that she has also been hearing the Radiant Song.

Magisters Rommath and Umbric discuss Xal'atath's plan, as thousands upon thousands of void monstrosities appeared to have been moving through the Darkwell, concluding that she is looking for something deep within the earth. The implication here is that our victory is a hollow one, as Xal'atath's plans have once again succeeded and she was merely using the Darkwell as a conduit to move her forces elsewhere.

Anduin reveals to Faerin and Velen that he once again feels a connection to the light, though he still doesn't feel like a hero or king, and can't even bring himself to abdicate the throne he does not deserve. He also questions his role in Velen's previous visions, to which Velen responds that there are many possible futures, seemingly soft-decanonizing the Son of the Wolf comic from 2016.

Upon defeating L'ura, the dark energies have been extinguished, leaving Silvermoon devoid of cosmic forces once again.
