Described as a dynamic contest designed to inspire and showcase the talents of the World of Warcraft modding community, virtually any kind of addon is eligible, no matter the category, however big or small. If it helps, improves or simplifies - it counts, Submissions are open now through July 5th, requiring only that users upload their addon to Curseforge and register it on the submission page.

As per the terms and conditions, existing addons are eligible, though only if they were created after March 2nd, 2026.

Multiple submissions are allowed, but duplicate addons are not eligible.

AI-generated project avatars are not permitted.

All addons submitted to CurseForge undergo a moderation process, which could delay submissions.

Half-way through the competition, ten "mid-contest winners" will be chosen on June 23rd to receive a $100 bonus prize, incentivizing quick work. Following the final submissions deadline on July 5th, a panel of Curseforge-appointed judges will choose their top 10 addons based on three equally weighted criteria:

(a) Originality - Creativity, novelty, uniqueness of the addon (33%)

(b) User Experience - usability, functionality, and overall player value of the addon (33%)

(c) Design - visual presentation, interface quality, and overall appeal of the addon (33%)

Those finalists will be voted on by the community from July 9th - July 13th, to determine their rankings and prizes, with the final winners announced on July 15th.

So, what are you waiting for? Go make an addon!
