These are datamined rewards on the Patch 12.1.7 PTR. We are reporting on the current rewards of the achievements as seen from datamining and feel this is worth highlighting. These changes have not been confirmed as rewards, and may change before launch.
Talebound is a brand new stand-alone game mode releasing in Patch 12.1.7. Players will dive into a new rogue-lite adventure as one of three classes: The Slayer, The Inquisitor, or the Witch. Participating in Talebound earns players many rewards and in the latest Patch 12.1.7 PTR build, we've datamined new achievements and rewards!
Two of those achievements are Confronting a Mythic Tale and Mythic: The Comprehensive Final Confrontation, which seems to represent the end-game rewards. Both achievements require players to complete them on Mythic difficulty, and as this is a Roguelite game, players will likely need to upgrade many different systems to have enough power to take it on. These two achievements have a very unique reward: Cache of Mythic Treasures.
This means players can get Mythic Venomous Abyss raid loot without entering the Mythic raid. We haven't seen Mythic raid caches since Warlords of Draenor and the mission table, where players could get a Mythic cache from their follower missions once they defeated 15 total Heroic bosses.
It's unclear if this cache can give Myth 9/6 items from Mythic Coiled Altar and Ula'tek, but if it can, many players will be hoping to be very lucky when opening this cache. Talebound testing begins tomorrow and we'll have to see exactly how difficult clearing Mythic difficulty will be to get these rewards.
