WARNING: Potential Major 11.2 Raid spoilers in this post!
Post-Raid Cinematic
Despite the order they're shown in the Ghosts of K'aresh trailer, it's likely that they weren't quite shown in chronological order. Thankfully, the implications of the scenes offer a potential order of events, starting with immediately after the fight against Dimensius. It seems like Alleria comes out of it wounded, with her seen stumbling out of a portal alongside Locus-Walker.
From there, it seems as though the Dark Heart is finally found after all the searching throughout The War Within, filled with power and in our grasp -- or rather, Locus-Walker's grasp.
Based on our next few shots, however, it doesn't seem like it ends well for Locus-Walker. We see Alleria recovering from an attack to find scattered, burning bandages around her. With few other candidates for their source, it's likely that these are the remains of Locus-Walker.
The culprit likewise has few other candidates: Xal'atath is subsequently seen reunited with the Dark Heart, a wounded Alleria trying in vain to grasp at her as she vanishes. In one final shot, we see the telltale signs of Xal'atath communicating inside Alleria's head as she's done all expansion.
The proper order of these scenes and what they mean for our major characters remains to be seen, but it's likely that Xal'atath stays true to her nature and betrays us once the threat of Dimensius is quelled, taking out Locus-Walker and reclaiming the Dark Heart for herself.
Ve'nari's Cinematic
While the raid cinematic is the most obvious unseen moment from the trailer, we also see glimpses of Ve'nari's raid epilogue storyline. Shots of her with the player in what seems to be Eco-Dome Al'dani as well as her wielding a Tabiqa ritual dagger don't offer much in the way of plot details, but certainly suggest that 11.2 will be getting a proper-length epilogue story this time around.
Dimensius' Fight
We also get a small preview of the Skyriding phase in Dimensius' boss fight, with dramatic laser-beam dodging and the universe's biggest swirly. Interestingly, we also see a small fragment of Dalaran in the corner, suggesting that this may take place inside the Dark Heart, along with the remnants of the mage city that Xal'atath absorbed into it.
The full context of all of these has yet to be revealed, so stay tune for their proper-length debuts with the start of Season 3 next Tuesday!
