Historically, this pet despawns around March 21st. The appearance of Blossoming Ancient, a mount from the Blizzard Shop, will also update for winter months.

Snowy Owl Now Spawning – Blossoming and Wandering Ancient Appearance Changes
With the Winter Solstice in the North Hemisphere, the winter pet Snowy Owl is now spawning. This flying battle pet can only be found in Winterspring, and collecting it counts towards Kalimdor Safari, which in turn is needed for World Safari and the title.
